Privacy Policy
Last updated:June 15, 2026
Art Tech Media Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company, operates the EMBA Collective network and the Johanna AI WhatsApp-based introduction service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information. By completing onboarding with Johanna AI or continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this Policy
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you use the Service, we collect information you voluntarily share through WhatsApp, including:
- Your name
- Your phone number (provided automatically through WhatsApp)
- Your EMBA program and graduation year
- Your current role, company, and professional background
- Your city and state
- Your industry interests
- Your networking goals, stated intents, and preferences, including updates over time
Information generated through your use of the Service. To operate and improve the Service, we also collect and generate:
- Records of introductions made, accepted, declined, or paused
- Your responses, feedback, and outcome reports related to introductions
- Engagement and interaction data, such as message timestamps, response patterns, and participation in Service features or events
- Profile change history and timestamped records of your declared goals and intents
Information we do not collect. We do not request or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, financial account numbers, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, biometric data, or precise geolocation data. Please do not send this information to Johanna AI. If you do, we may delete it without notice.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
Create and maintain your member profile within the EMBA Collective network
- Match you with other members based on interests, goals, location, seniority, and program diversity
- Send you introductions, Service updates, event invitations, and other communications related to the network via WhatsApp
- Evaluate introduction outcomes and improve the quality of our matching over time
- Develop, operate, and improve the Service, including training and refining our matching logic
- Produce aggregated and de-identified analytics, insights, reports, and data products (see Section 4)
- Verify eligibility, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the safety of members and the Service
- Comply with legal obligations and defend our legal rights
Information Sharing
Introductions. When Johanna AI makes an introduction, both members receive the other's name, role, program, and phone number. Introductions are one-to-one. We do not publish member directories or broadcast your information to the membership at large.
Service providers. We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, including cloud database and hosting providers (currently Supabase), messaging infrastructure (WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.), and AI processing providers (currently Anthropic). These providers process data under their own terms and security commitments.
Institutional partners. We may share aggregated or de-identified insights about network activity — such as engagement levels, intent trends, and outcome statistics — with institutional partners such as universities, career development offices, and sponsors. These insights do not identify individual members. We will not disclose your individually identifiable profile to an institutional partner without your consent.
No sale of personal data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our members, our business, or others.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of some or all of our assets, member information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor will remain bound by commitments materially consistent with this Policy or will notify members of changes.
Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated or de-identified data from information collected through the Service — meaning data that no longer identifies you individually. We own all aggregated and de-identified data and all analyses, reports, benchmarks, and data products derived from it, and may retain and use such data for any lawful purpose, indefinitely, including after you leave the Service or request deletion of your personal information. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified data.
Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to member data is restricted to authorized administrators.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law, including Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H where applicable.
We retain personal information for as long as your membership is active and as long as reasonably necessary afterward to operate the Service, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely (see Section 4).
Your Choices and Rights
You can control your participation at any time by texting Johanna:
"pause" — stop receiving introductions
"resume" — restart introductions
"update" — change your profile information
"status" — view your current profile
Deletion. To request deletion of your personal information, email ycataldo@alum.mit.edu. We will delete your personal information within 30 days, except that we may retain (a) aggregated and de-identified data, (b) records reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain the integrity and safety of the network (for example, records related to a member removed for misconduct), and (c) residual copies in routine backups, which are purged on a standard cycle.
Verification. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, such as confirming the request from your registered WhatsApp number.
Where applicable law grants you additional rights regarding your personal information, we will honor those rights as required by that law.
Third-Party Services
The Service operates through WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and we are not responsible for Meta's data practices.
We use Anthropic's Claude API to power matching and introduction generation. Member profile information (excluding phone numbers) may be processed through the Claude API. Anthropic processes API data subject to its own commercial terms and data usage policies, and does not use our API inputs or outputs to train its generally available models.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended solely for adults who hold or are pursuing an Executive MBA degree. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
International and Interstate Use
We are based in the United States and the Service is intended for use in the United States. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates are effective when posted, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the current version. We will notify active members of material changes through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
Governing Law and Disputes
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from this Policy or our data practices is subject to the dispute resolution, arbitration, and class action waiver provisions of our Terms of Service, which are incorporated here by reference. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived by agreement.

Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EMBA Collective network and the Johanna AI introduction service (the "Service") operated by Art Tech Media Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company.
By texting our WhatsApp number, completing the onboarding process, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and Membership
The Service is available by invitation to individuals who hold or are pursuing an Executive MBA degree from an accredited institution, and to such other categories of professionals as we may admit from time to time at our sole discretion.
Membership is personal, non-transferable, and granted at our sole discretion. We may verify your identity, credentials, and eligibility at any time and may request supporting documentation. Submitting an application or receiving an invitation does not create a right to membership, and no person has any entitlement to admission, continued membership, or any particular Service feature.
Guests invited to events or programs operated in connection with the Service are also bound by these Terms with respect to their participation.
The Service
The EMBA Collective provides AI-powered professional introductions between members. Our concierge, Johanna AI, uses information you provide to propose matches between members, together with an explanation of why the match was made.
The Service evolves. We may add, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any feature of the Service — including the frequency, format, or availability of introductions — at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without notice, and without liability to you. No particular introduction cadence, match quality, feature set, or level of service is promised or guaranteed to any member or tier.
AI-generated service. Johanna is an automated, AI-powered system. AI systems can produce errors, mismatches, or inaccurate statements. You acknowledge that introductions and related content are generated algorithmically, are provided for convenience only, and are not vetted, endorsed, or verified by us.
WhatsApp. The Service is provided via WhatsApp. You consent to receive messages from Johanna AI via WhatsApp and are responsible for any carrier or data charges. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's own terms, and we are not responsible for WhatsApp's availability or conduct.
Fees and Paid Features
The Service, or portions of it, may be offered free of charge, and we may introduce paid memberships, tiers, features, or programs at any time. Any paid offering will be described at the point of purchase and may be subject to additional terms. Unless otherwise stated: fees are quoted in U.S. dollars, are exclusive of taxes, and are non-refundable; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; and we may change pricing prospectively with notice. Offering a feature for free at any time does not create an obligation to continue offering it for free or at all.
Member Information and LicenseYou represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and yours to share. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and analyze the information you provide and the data generated by your use of the Service in order to operate, improve, market, and develop the Service and related offerings, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
We own all aggregated and de-identified data derived from use of the Service and all analyses, insights, reports, and data products created from it, and may use such data for any lawful purpose, indefinitely, including after your membership ends.
Feedback. If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
Member Conduct
By using the Service, you agree to:
Provide accurate information about yourself, your background, and your affiliations
Treat all members with respect and professionalism at all times
Use contact information received through an introduction solely for professional communication with that member, and not add members to mailing lists, CRMs, or marketing databases without their consent
Keep confidential any non-public information another member shares with you in confidence
You agree that you will not:
Use the Service to spam, harass, solicit, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other members
Misrepresent your identity, credentials, employer, or affiliations
Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind, including unwanted romantic advances, threatening language, discriminatory remarks, or repeated unwanted contact after a member has indicated they do not wish to communicate
Scrape, harvest, compile, or systematically collect member information, or use the Service to build or seed a competing network, directory, or database
Recruit members to a competing service, or use the Service on behalf of a third party without our written consent
Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, Johanna AI, or our systems
Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove any member at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, including based on reports from other members. No refund or compensation will be provided upon removal
Introductions, Consent, and Assumption of Risk
By completing onboarding, you consent to having your name, role, program, and phone number shared with members you are introduced to. Each introduction is one-to-one. We do not publish member directories or share your information broadly. You may opt out of introductions at any time by texting "pause" to Johanna AI.
We do not screen members beyond credential verification. We do not conduct background checks, and we make no representations about any member's character, qualifications, conduct, financial condition, or intentions. Your interactions with other members — including any meetings, communications, transactions, investments, employment relationships, or business dealings — are solely between you and that member, at your own risk. We are not a party to, and have no responsibility for, any arrangement between members.
No Professional or Investment Advice; No Securities Offering
The Service provides professional introductions only. Nothing in the Service — including any introduction, message, event, or content from Johanna AI — constitutes legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice, or a recommendation or endorsement of any person, company, security, or transaction.
Nothing in the Service constitutes an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security. Any investment opportunity that may be made available to members will be offered, if at all, only through separate entities, separate definitive documentation, and only to persons eligible under applicable securities laws. Participation in the Service does not entitle you to access any investment opportunity.
Intellectual Property
The EMBA Collective name and brand, the Johanna AI concierge system, our matching algorithms, prompts, software, data structures, and all related technology and content are our property or that of our licensors, protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal professional networking during your membership. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Disclaimer of WarrantiesTHE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, ACCURACY, FREQUENCY, OR OUTCOME OF ANY INTRODUCTION, AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS, OMISSIONS, STATEMENTS, OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY MEMBER.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ART TECH MEDIA GROUP LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR ANY INTRODUCTION MADE THROUGH IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Art Tech Media Group LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your interactions, communications, or dealings with any member; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (e) inaccurate information you provide.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, harassment of other members, misrepresentation of credentials, violation of these Terms, or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the network or its members.
You may stop using the Service at any time by texting "pause" to Johanna or by requesting data deletion under our Privacy Policy.
Sections 4, 6, 7, and 9 through 16 survive termination.
Governing Law, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the email below and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its rules, conducted in the State of Delaware or, at either party's election, remotely by videoconference. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class action and jury waiver. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property or the security of the Service.
Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the laws of your state of residence.
Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms are effective when posted, and we will notify active members of material changes through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms for paid offerings, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
